Have you lost something in our municipality? On this page, you will find an overview of all found items that are physically managed at the City Office of the Municipality of Alkmaar.
Lost your ID card or driver’s license?
- Have you lost your ID card or driver’s license? Please report this to the municipality when applying for a new document, and no longer to the police.
- Have you found an ID card or driver’s license? Always hand it in as soon as possible at the reception desk of the City Office. These documents remain the property of the state and may therefore not be kept at home.
Collecting found items
- You can collect your found item from the person who found it and registered it via iLost.
- Items that have been handed in to the municipality can be collected at the City Office. Don’t forget to bring a valid form of identification.
Storage periods
- Items with a value up to €450 are stored for three months.
- Items with a value of more than €450 are stored for one year.

Bicycles
- Has your bicycle disappeared around the station area and was it parked outside the designated bike racks? Then it was likely removed by Stadswerk072.
- Was your bicycle not locked to anything? It may have been moved to the nearest bike rack.
- Was your bicycle locked to something? Then it has been taken by Stadswerk and stored in the bicycle depot.
